Communication

TWITTER
Twitter is a social networking site that allows you to publish short, sentence-long updates - called "tweets" - about what you are doing right now (for example, "Mary is at the store," "John is reading a book." Twitter allows followers of your page to stay updated on your current activities.

MYSPACE
MySpace is a social networking utility that allows you to create a personalized profile. Many musicians, authors and other artists use MySpace to make their music accessible to a larger audience. MySpace also has a special networking feature: by selecting your field, subfield and speciality, you can locate and network other MySpace members who are involved in similar work. You will find an example of ArtSpace's MySpace page on the right-hand column under the "Links" portion.

FACEBOOK
Facebook, like MySpace, is a social networking utility. Unlike MySpace, in which all profiles are viewable by all members unless you change privacy settings, Facebook requires that members join a network - this may be a city, your company's network, or the college/university you attended. Joining a network allows you to view all profiles of other members in that network. Facebook also has a feature called a "fan page" - an informative page about a public figure, organization or cause. Facebook also allows users to create events that other users can be invited to. You will find an example of ArtSpace's Facebook page on the right-hand column under the "Links" portion.
